Let me take you on a brief journey through Tikkies' life.

Brief background on Tikkie 🐦

Tikkie arrived at our home 30 years ago as a "traded" grey African parrot. My parents presumed he was smuggled from the DRC at the time. And as heartbreaking as it is, they felt like it was a rescue attempt to take him in and make him apart of our family by giving him a safe home in a large indoor cage. 

He was wild. Completely wild as a matter of fact it took almost a year before he stopped screeching. He would screech whenever his cage was cleaned, and whenever he was being fed. Over the past years, it is safe to say that he became a tamed cage bird.
